Eilene Lee

Eilene Lee, 18, started playing the violin at the age of 6. She is a student of Naoko Tanaka at the Juilliard School, PreCollege division, and has also been learning from Dr. Yu-jeong Lee and the late Shirley Givens. She has performed as a soloist with the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra, the Livingston Symphony Orchestra, the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra as a concerto competition winner. Eilene has also played as a soloist with the New Jersey Sinfonietta, where she received the highest acclaim for her performance. She also won numerous competitions including the YWCA New York Music Competition, the NLPA National Young Virtuosi Recital Competition, the International Grande Music Competition, the East Coast International Music Competition, and the KRB NY International Music Competition. As a chamber musician, Eilene was invited by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to play in The Young Musicians Concert at Alice Tully Hall. She has participated in music programs such as The Echo Music Festival and School, The Saarburg International Music Festival and School in Saarburg, Germany, Morningside Music Bridge, and the Aspen Music Festival and School as a recipient of the New Horizons Fellowship. Her orchestral experiences include the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra 2, the Juilliard PreCollege Symphony where she has served as principal, and the Juilliard PreCollege Orchestra.
