Helen Qi
Plant: Chester County, PA (Visual Arts)
Helen Qi (17) is a current senior at Archmere Academy in Wilmington, DE. Helen has attended the Early College Program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received a merit scholarship and the Governor’s School of Excellence. In 2022 she was awarded the Michael Curcio Emerging Artist Scholarship in recognition of excellence in the visual arts. She has received numerous Gold Key awards in the Scholastic art competition across 6 categories and has been featured in several art exhibits. As the President of the Archmere Academy National Art Honor Society, she has worked to raise money for humanitarian efforts through art. Helen is currently a student of Stephanie Silverman.
Helen became involved with the Back to Bach project as a violist. She studies with Mr. Charles Parker at Temple University Music Preparatory Center for Gifted Young Musicians (CGYM). She has served as Principal Violist of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Temple Music Preparatory’s Youth Chamber Orchestra.
Outside of art, Helen is involved in Mock Trial and has been named “Best Overall Lawyer” in the State Competition. She also enjoys participating in scientific research and running on her school’s cross country team.
