Isabella Florendo

Isabella Florendo, born in west Michigan, is a pianist, violinist, and organist. She was invited twice to perform piano and violin at the White House in Washington, D.C. She has also played piano in Carnegie Hall and the Kimmel Center. At the age of 9, she won the Ambler Symphony orchestra concerto competition and was the recipient of the Elmer and Loiuse Menges Scholarship Award. Isabella is a winner of numerous piano competitions which include the Princeton Festival Piano Competition, Tri- County Youth Festival, West Chester Pre-Collegiate Piano Competition, Gershwin International Piano Competition, and Geneva International Competition. She was also the Junior Music Ambassador for the Harmony for Peace Foundation. As a violinist, she was the Principal 2 nd at the PMEA All-State Orchestra. She studied piano with notable concert pianists such as Dr. Ronaldo Rolim, Dr. Marianna Prjevalskaya, and Dr. Anna Kislitsyna at the Nelly Berman School of Music. She was also fortunate to study with the founder Nelly Berman, Elena Berman, and Dr. Katherine Harris.

Aside from music, Isabella is a Judoka. She is also a part of her high school’s Cross Country Team, Math Leagues team, and Symphony Orchestra. Her other interests include math, chemistry, Spanish, and chess.
