Oboist Victoria Chung promotes the beauty of classical music with communities. A passionate explorer of musical repertoire, she has been heard with her wind quintet ‘SOOM’ on radio WQR-FM, in Juilliard’s AXIOM performing music by Grammy-winning Finnish composer, Kaija Saariaho, and on a Naxos label recording with the National Orchestral Institute. Victoria has performed under the baton of few acclaimed conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Sir Simon Rattle and Marin Alsop. Completed her Bachelor and Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School, Victoria studied with Nathan Hughes and substitute in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Sejong Soloists as well as in Richmond Symphony. She is joining New World Symphony in fall 2020.
